Global Seva Amazon Day 5: Cofan Survival Fund

Posted on April 2nd, 2014

Today we traveled into the Amazon highlands with Randy Borman, an American who was born and raised among the Cofan in Ecuador and has created a non profit organization called the Cofan Survival Fund (www.cofan.org). OTM funded the construction of a ranger station in Cofan territory to support their efforts to protect their 1 million + acres of ancestral land from illegal hunting, mining and colonization. We would love to fund additional stations plus the living expenses and salaries of the ranger families who staff them for months at a time. If you would like to get involved and support these projects, go here.
