Yoga In Action Facilitator Training with Hala Khouri & Carrington Jackson

Are you interested in being a Yoga in Action facilitator but can’t get to an in-person Yoga, Purpose and Action training in order to qualify? Good news, we have created an online pathway for you!

This Training is for everyone who is interested in becoming a Yoga In Action Facilitator in their local community, and is not able to attend the pre-requisite of attending an in-person Yoga, Purpose and Action Training, however, has attended the YPA Online sessions either live or via the recordings. Off the Mat's Yoga In Action (YIA) is a grassroots, purpose-driven leadership program that brings the Off the Mat experience of self-inquiry and sustainable action to a local level.

Steps to Become a Yoga In Action Facilitator - Online Pathway

  1. Attend Yoga, Purpose and Action Online (either live or via the recordings). Please note that all sessions must be completed prior to attending a Yoga In Action Facilitator Training.

  2. Attend the Yoga In Action Facilitator Call LIVE on June 17 and 19th. These calls will not be recorded and it is required that you attend the live calls in order to be considered to become a Yoga In Action Facilitator.

  3. Apply to lead a Yoga in Action group yourself. * The purpose of applying is simply so we can get to know you better, most people will be approved to lead a circle barring any circumstances that make us feel that this might not be a good fit for you.

  4. Upon application approval, purchase the 7-week curriculum and begin your Yoga In Action work!

  5. Our YIA Mentor will help you create your own YIA group in your local community, providing guidance and support as needed.

Training Details:

2 sessions*, 90 min. each
June 17 & 19, 2019 (Mon & Wed)
2:30 - 4:00 PT / 5:30 - 7:00 ET

Our Facilitator Training is limited to 20 people per training. During the training you will be invited to reflect on the information and themes shared during the intensive. We will use a video chat so we can see each other, and we can put you into breakout groups to dialogue in smaller groups. We want you engaging around the material with each other. The second call will be some simple skill building around communication, holding space and self-care and collaboration. Most people who choose to lead YIA have some experience facilitating groups either though teaching yoga or clinical work. If you want to see if this is the right path for you, email Carrington at
