HEADSTAND is an innovative yoga program. Our educators regularly visit San Francisco Bay Area schools to teach yoga, breathing, and meditation techniques. These simple, fun lessons are taught in the classroom, with no special equipment required.

SPROUT YOGA is dedicated to helping those who have suffered the devastating effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD) and eating disorders(ED). Sprout Yoga was created to provide trauma sufferers with free yoga therapy. They intend to provide grants for research into how yoga therapy aids in the healing of PTSD and ED. Sprout Yoga seeks to develop a curriculum for use by any yoga instructor, volunteer, or otherwise, for use in treatment of PTSD and ED.

STREET YOGA offers children and families a free, portable means of caring for themselves that no one can take away. Through the teaching of free yoga, meditation and wellness classes they seek to help homeless youth increase their physical, emotional and spiritual strength, stamina and flexibility so they can better meet their own core needs. Street Yoga works closely with those service providers striving to help youth secure safe housing, nutritious food, accessible health care, employment, clean clothing, educational choices and human dignity.

This training is designed for yoga teachers wanting to work with the recovery population. It is also extremely relevant and helpful for therapists, counselors, social workers, probation officers and others with a desire to understand how the ancient philosophies and practices of yoga align with the 12-step program of recovery.
